Mechanic allegedly chops man in car dispute
The St Thomas police have charged 56-year-old Robert Graham, otherwise called 'Ghost,' a mechanic of Blacksmith Lane, Seaforth, with unlawful wounding, following an incident in his community on January 17.
Reports from the lawmen are that at 1:25 p.m., Graham confronted a man to whom he gave his motor vehicle to be repaired. An altercation developed between the two, which got physical. It's alleged that Graham pulled a machete from his waistband and chopped the man in his face, causing a wound that bled. The man was assisted to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
A report was made to the police, and Graham was later identified by the complainant and subsequently charged based on the complainant's statement. A court date for Graham is being finalised.
