Man who cursed cops in court facing trial

July 26, 2024

A Corporate Area man who disturbed proceedings at the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court earlier this month is expected to face trial.

Prosecutors were instructed by Senior Parish Judge Paula Blake-Powell to complete the case file against accused, Ian McIntosh, who is charged with indecent language and disorderly conduct. McIntosh is accused of attending a sitting of the Lay Magistrate's Court, which was held at the parish court, when he started behaving in a boisterous manner and hurling expletives at the police.

He was subsequently arrested and charged and is to return to court on September 6, when a date for trial is to be decided.
