The police are reporting the discovery of a scrap yard that they believe is used to dismantle stolen cars in St Elizabeth.

Reports say that about 6:30 a.m. yesterday, the police were tipped off  to search the New Building area in Coker district for a stolen Toyota Mark X.

It was found in bushes along with several other vehicle keys, licence plates, road licences and car parts.

No arrest was made.

Arising from the discovery, the police theorise that the area was used to scrap and store stolen cars.

The investigation continues.
