Package with illegal guns and ammunition seized at logistic centre

The Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch is probing an incident in which three illegal guns along with an assorted ammunition were discovered in a package at the Kingston Logistic Centre located at Newport West.

Reports are that around 11: 45 a.m. yesterday during a search on the premises, located on Shannon Dirve, a .357 Smith and Wesson pistol, a Springfield pistol and a Ruger pistol were recovered.

The contraband were discovered when personnel at the centre scanned the package.
