A relative of Jordan Green, the suspect in Monday's quintuple killing in Rockfort, Kingston, who was fatally shot by police, says that he was a "victim of circumstance".

Green was reportedly cut down by lawmen on Tuesday on Rusden Road in Rockfort during an alleged shootout. A firearm was reportedly retrieved.

"Most people weh get out, a options dem have more than him. Nobody never complain about him doing anything wrong, but you done know, when you live in a community like this, this ago happen," the relative said. "A community like this, the youth them nuh have much role mode."

Residents said that Green was not in the Pleasant Hill area which was the scene of Monday night's mass shooting. They say he was in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and only returned to the area on Tuesday morning. Emotions ran high as they cried that Green was killed in cold blood. Alleged eyewitnesses said that he was shirtless and at a friend's house when the police fatally shot him.

"Him just love yah so and I don't know why," the relative said. Green attended Vauxhall High School and was skilled in masonry and construction, but, according to loved ones, he lacked guidance. They said his mother passed when he was a baby and he was raised by his sisters and aunts. One of his aunts, Paula O'Brien, expressed shock at his death.
