Time and Patience, St Catherine, rocked by two shooting incidents

The community of Time and Patience in Linstead, St Catherine, is on high alert following criminal attacks that left one man dead and another hospitalised on Tuesday night.

Dead is Nicholas Campbell, 34, of the Wallen Housing Scheme.

Police reports state that about 11:00 p.m. they were summoned to the area and Campbell, who was of unsound mind, was discovered with gunshot wounds.

A few hours earlier, around 8:13 p.m., a 38-year-old tractor operator was also shot during a robbery at a shop in the same community.

The injured were taken to hospital where Campbell succumbed to his injuries and the other man was hospitalised.

The Linstead Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the incidents.
