Man arrested in connection to firearm seized at bike show in St Andrew

A man has been arrested and charged by the St Andrew North police after he was found in possession of an illegal gun at an unauthorised bike show on Thursday.

Jayce Davis, 22, from Cash Ridge, Jacks Hill district is charged with possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition.

The police report that a team visited the location of the show in Barbican when Davis was seen acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion.

He was accosted and a search was conducted where a Sig Sauer 9 millimetre pistol and twenty-five 9mm rounds of ammunition was found in his possession.

His court date is being finalised.
