'Ghetto Boss’ accused of raiding cousin’s home, flees into bushes after being caught
A St Thomas taxi operator got the shock of his life after returning home to find his house ransacked and his own cousin allegedly scrambling through the back door and disappearing into nearby bushes.
Charged is 44-year-old labourer Andre Green, otherwise called 'Ghetto Boss', who is now facing burglary, larceny, and destruction of property charges following the weekend incident.
Reports from the Golden Grove police are that about 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, the 68-year-old complainant securely locked up his two-bedroom home before leaving.
However, just two hours later, the quiet night took a dramatic turn when he returned and spotted a wooden ladder leaning against the side of the house.
Growing suspicious, the elderly man removed the ladder and raised an alarm. Moments later, movement was heard inside the house, prompting him to rush towards the back of the property.
That is when he reportedly saw his cousin, Green, making a hasty escape through the back door before fleeing into nearby bushes.
A check of the premises revealed that the house had been thoroughly ransacked, with the complainant reporting a loss of approximately $35,000, along with an estimated $40,000 in damage to the property.
Green later turned himself in to the police and was subsequently charged after forensic evidence, including fingerprints and DNA, allegedly linked him to the scene.
He remains in custody pending his appearance in the St Thomas Parish Court.
