Defending champions Classic have been having a strong presence in the keenly contested Premier League of the Charley's JB Overproof Rum Western Jamaica Domino competition.

Classic, which is headquartered at Market Street in Falmouth, Trelawny, is eyeing their second straight title as the team heads into the last round of preliminary matches this weekend.

The highly anticipated quarter-final round starts next week.

Classic have so far recorded nine wins and suffered just one loss in round two of the competition.

"The team looks good. We are training hard and we expect to defeat any team that comes up against us," Selvin 'Coco' Brown, Classic's captain, told WESTERN STAR.

Classic had defeated Hawkeye Stingers of Hopewell, Hanover, in last year's final to cop their first Premier League crown. According to Brown, a second straight victory will further cement the team's status as one of the best in Jamaica.

"This would be a big deal for Classic because the guys train very hard and we are experts at what we do," Brown said.
