The time is here. The moment is now, and there will be no excuses, expressed Mount Pleasant's sporting director, Paul Christie.

The St Ann-based Mount Pleasant have qualified for every playoffs since being promoted to the top-flight Jamaica Premier League (JPL) in 2018. Christie pointed out that the coaches, administrators and players deliberated ahead of this season for this specific purpose. He declared they are ready to execute.

"From July last year, when this team was assembled, both the technical and administrative team, along with playing staff, this was the moment it was assembled for. The team is in high spirits, and the coaching and technical staff are very relaxed. So the moment is here. The time is now, and we just have to go out and execute," Christie said.

At the start of the season, Mount Pleasant were rampant in the league, however, they struggled for victories towards the end of the preliminary round, with only two wins in their last 10 matches.

For Christie, all of that is irrelevant now. He insists the first stage is behind them, and they have refocused on the business at hand.

"Finishing No. 1 or 6 (in table) doesn't matter. What matters is how you execute your journey. We are aware that there are a few glitches, however, we are not in the business of making excuses. We are here to execute and execute we will.

"The first test will be the beaten finalists (Dunbeholden), and the entire Jamaica will know. We are prepared and focused. They are ready, and the chemistry is coming together," he continued.

Mount Pleasant are known as the big spenders of local football, and it is no secret they desperately crave the national title, but Christie said the players or coaches are not under undue pressure to deliver.

"I don't know about any pressure. We are here to execute and get to the top and go into the Concacaf region. That is the plan, and we are on target with the plan. We must now navigate our path to June 11 (JPL final). We know what we have to do.

"All eligible players are available, and there are no excuses from the coaching staff. They are ready. The moment is here, and the time is now, and we are fully ready to execute," stated Christie, who calls on Mount Pleasant supporters from Trelawny, St. Ann and St Mary for support on Monday.

Mount Pleasant ended third in the regular season with 46 points, 11 points behind table-toppers Arnett Gardens. They will face Dunbeholden in their first-leg quarterfinal on Monday.
