Arnett Gardens will look to stop their slip in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) points standing when they face Dunbeholden in one of two matches today at Stadium East at 7:30 p.m.

In the first game at 5 p.m., Vere take on Molynes United.

Arnett were sitting second behind leaders Mount Pleasant after nine games, however, they had mixed results in their remaining four first-round matches and sunk to fifth and could be out of the top six with more poor results.

Coach Xavier Gilbert believes they have learned from their mistakes in the first round and aims to improve for the second round.

"We have to be prepared to learn. We have to continue to work and improve our players tactically and otherwise, and when we get chances, we have to take them.

"We just have to continue to work, continue to ensure that the players can deliver, but we also have to look at how we can get other players to improve," Gilbert said.

Dunbeholden, despite having seven wins, have conceded more goals than they have scored (15-12), and coach Lenworth Hyde is intent on getting his defence better.

"Defensively, it is hurting us. We don't have a lot of clean sheets, although we are not scoring enough goals, but I would prefer to deal with the defensive side of the game first, so we have to do some work on that area," Hyde said.

Arnett are fifth on 24 points, while Dunbeholden are on 21 points, one place behind.

In the other game, Vere, in eighth on 18 points, take on 12th-place Molynes with eight points.
