Bryan on a mission for Waterhouse

The exploits of striker Javane Bryan have filled the void left by Shaquille Bradford, who departed the Marcel Gayle-coached Waterhouse at the end of the last Jamaica Premier League (JPL) season.
Bradford scored nine of the 26 goals last term by Waterhouse, who made no notable additions up front for this season but haven't missed a beat because of Bryan.
The former player for Tivoli Gardens High in the Manning Cup competition, playing in his first JPL season, opened his account in his second match, netting a double against Montego Bay United and has not looked back.
So far, he has already equalled Bradford's tally of nine, and his aim now is to continue putting away the chances that come his way.
"Even though it is my first time playing in the Premier League, the other leagues I have played in, I have executed in them just as well, so I bring that to the Premier League this season. I take my chances well. I am making use of them when I get them.
"I am looking forward to about 20 goals this season. I will continue to work hard, come out on the pitch and take every chance I get. I have to continue to use the chances," he emphasised.
According to Bryan, he spent part of his only Manning Cup season as a goalkeeper after the first-choice goalkeeper was suspended for a few matches after the first game.
He started out playing senior football with Rae Town in the Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League and later moved to Vere United, who he helped to progress to the JPL in 2019.
He left Vere to play with Falmouth United but spent half a season before transferring to Meadforest, whom he helped reach the KSAFA Championship final to secure a spot in Tier II football.
However, he departed from Meadforest and joined the Drewsland-based Waterhouse before the start of the JPL season.
Bryan has settled nicely with Waterhouse and believes they have the quality to win the league. He said they must work together and believe in each other.
"I think we have a squad that can do it. I believe in my team. I believe in myself and my coaching staff. This Waterhouse team can win the title. We have to work as a group, come together and look forward as a team," he said.
