Muschett High School in Trelawny today hosted a parade in celebration on their athlete students who participated in the 2024 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships.

Led by the school's vice principal, Major Leighton Burnett, a large crowd gathered in the Wakefield square to watch and show the athletes support.

"A success of this magnitude, can not be kept under the rug. We have to expose the athletes and show you that despite the negative things that are happening around the school, we still have packets over greatness," Burnett said.

"Nothing is achieved by our own influenced or by our own skills and talents. Sometimes we have to get help along the way and they are many persons who have assisted. Everyone did not get a medal but we are proud," he added.

Shanoya Douglas won gold medals in the class two girls, 200 metres and 400 metres. Johan-Ramaldo Smythe won a gold medal the 200 metres in the class two boys and Osmond Holt won a bronze medal in the Decathalon.
