LUCKNOW, India (CMC):

Deandra Dottin contributed with bat and ball as her Gujarat Giants Women crushed the UP Warriorz Women by 81 runs when the Women's Premier League continued here yesterday.

Coming in with her team needing quick runs, Dottin smashed 17 from eight balls to propel the Giants to a competitive 186 for five from their 20 overs at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Opener Beth Mooney batted through the innings but missed out on a century, finishing unbeaten on 96 from 59 balls, while Harleen Deol made 45 from 32 balls.

Sophie Ecclestone took 2-34 while West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry took a solitary wicket.

Dottin then returned to wreck the Warriorz' run chase, grabbing two wickets in the space of four deliveries, and they were eventually routed for 105 in 17.1 overs.

Dottin dismissed opener Kiran Navgire for a first ball duck and then bowled Georgia Boll without scoring to leave the Warriorz in tatters at 2-2 in the first over of the innings.

Kashvee Gautam and Tanuja Kanwar then grabbed three wickets apiece to completely derail the innings.

Henry topscored once again for the Warriorz with 28 from 14 balls while opener Grace Harris made 25 from 30 balls.
