Jamaica Women's Premier League (JWPL) action tomorrow will be headlined by league leaders and defending champions Frazsiers Whip taking on second-place Los Perfectos at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in an early top-of-the-table clash.

Both teams will be putting their perfect records on the line when they face off at 1 p.m. in the opening match of a double-header as Arnett Gardens will face off against Mile Gully in the second encounter set for 3:30 p.m.

Frazsiers Whip and Los Perfectos both enter the fixtures on six points, with the defending champions holding the edge with a greater goal difference.

Frazsiers Whip have recorded 6-0 and 7-1 wins against UWI and Proven Girls, respectively, while Los Perfectos downed Federal United and Wifi United 6-1 and 2-0 in their two games played.

For Frazsiers Whip, Reggae Girlz Destiny Powell, Davis Richards and Cassandra Smith are expected to lead the lines as the trio have had a brilliant start to the season.

Reggae Girl Andrene Smith is one to watch for Los Perfectos, however, and she is also expected to be supported by the defensive presence of Sashana Campbell.

Los Perfectos head coach Maurice Duncan, however, stated it will be a team effort for his squad of players.

"It is a team effort because we have a lot of outstanding players. We have Andrene Smith who played well and Sashana Campbell who is also a former Reggae Girl and we have some other players who have also represented Jamaica as well," Duncan said after their last outing against Wifi United.

"But at the end of the day, it is 11 players on the field so we play together as a team so we'll win as a team," he continued.

Also in action, third-place Cavalier will host an upbeat UWI squad at the Alpha Boys Home field.

Cavalier, who eased by Mile Gully 4-1 last week, are looking for their second win in a row to maintain their early spot in the league's top three.

It is a similar story line for UWI who picked up their first three points last week when they downed Real MoBay 2-0 at home.

UWI's head coach, Davion Meggo, said the plan for their season is to attack each game with a new mindset and to improve their performances, especially on the defensive end, on a weekly basis.

"We're taking it one game at a time. This is one win down, so we now look to our next game and the preparations continue. This is a long league so we're taking it one game at a time," he said.

"There is a saying in football that defence wins titles. We need our defence to come each week to put in performances and to keep getting better."
