I am trying to do something with my life
Dear Pastor,
I am a 19. I don't know if you can assist me but it is worth the try. I am trying to get a job and a degree in business. I was planning to start school part-time in September so that I would be able to finance myself. My parents are not financially capable of
paying my tuition. I want to make something of myself. If you know of any available job in St Ann, please let me know. I have eight CXC subjects, inclusive of mathematics and English, and three CAPE subjects. I also have working experience as a sales clerk and a receptionist. I am a mature individual. I learn quickly and I am also very versatile. I get along well with others and take pride in whatever I do.

Dear T.H.,
I publish your letter hoping that someone would be willing to offer you a job or give you some financial assistance. Your desire to attend university is commendable, but you should not expect help by doing nothing and hoping that you would reach your goals. If you truly want to attend university and to have a degree in business, you should apply to one of the universities. You should seek financing through the Students' Loan Bureau and try to earn as much as you can before you enter university. If you are accepted at university, you may be able to apply to go abroad on one of the work programmes available to full-time students. In that way, you may earn enough to pay for a year's tuition. Perhaps you have heard it said that, "The longest journey begins with a single step". I hope you understand that I am not rebuking you. I am only trying to help you.
Pastor
