I want my common-law wife out my house
Dear Pastor,
I am a farmer and I have my own home. I am living on three acres of land that my grandfather left for me. It is really for two of us, my sister and myself. My sister is in England. She is not married and she told me I can take all the land because she is not interested in it. She has an account in Jamaica and my name is on it, so I work the land and I put some money in the account for her so that whenever she comes she can have money to spend.
Pastor, I am living with a woman. She has children but none for me. I have three children with three different women. This woman does not like to see my children come around. She wants everything for herself. Her children love me. If you didn't know that they are not my children, you would think that they are. They have manners.
I don't know what to do because, as I see it, I can't stay with this woman. My daughter's mother and I are getting along fine and I would like for both of us to get back together. I told this woman that I would help her put up a house if she can get a piece of land to lease. I have made too many mistakes. I am 49 years old and I want to settle down. This woman is not ambitious. I would still help her with the children, but I want somebody I could marry.

Dear T.D.,
I suggest that you discuss your problems with an
attorney. This woman and you have been living together. As to whether she can make any claim on any asset that you have, I am not sure, so you should get legal advice as soon as possible.
