Girlfriend loves when I go bareback

Dear Pastor,

I am 22 years old and I am sexually active. My girlfriend is 25. When she and I got together, she taught me how to 'deal with the situation', as I had no sexual experience.

I was very nervous. On my first experience, she had to assure me that I didn't have anything to worry about, but I was still nervous. It was only after the third time that I was able to manage myself. My girlfriend was not a virgin when we first had sex, but I was. She told me that if she had known that I didn't have any experience, she wouldn't have had sex with me, because having sex with me for the first time wasn't enjoyable. I had to have oral sex with her the third time we had sex. She got me into that and I have never been able to stop.

I am enjoying having sex with my girlfriend, but she does not want me to use the condom. But having sex with her without the condom is much more enjoyable. I have read in your column that it is unwise to have unprotected sex, but I am willing to take the risk. What do you say?

Dear L.M.,

You have already read that in my column and you want to behave as a fool by talking about taking the risk.

You are just a young man. You cannot expect to have sex with a woman bareback and not open yourself to getting her pregnant. You are only 22 years old; don't be a fool, young man.

The young woman told you that she prefers to have sex without using protection. That is why I suppose she enjoys oral sex so much. Learn to use the condom. You are not ready to impregnate a woman. Getting a woman pregnant is a very costly matter. There are other methods that your girlfriend and you can use. She should talk to her gynaecologist about it. If you know that this young woman is not having sex with anybody else, and you have full confidence in her, there are some other risky things you can do, but I am not prepared to tell you to get into these risky behaviours.

I am saying to you now, get smart; learn to use protection. Otherwise, you are going to regret not doing so very soon.
