Trinidadian comedian Errol Fabien is coming to Jamaica to entertain and amuse at the Best Care Foundation's Com Mek Wi Laaf comedy show set for the Jamaica College Auditorium on December 6.

Comedy skills aside the 55-year-old comic said his visit is more about supporting a cause close to his heart.

In addition to Fabien, Come Mek Wi Laaf will feature some of Jamaica's top comedians including Johnny Daley, Dr Michael Abrahams, the irreverent Dufton Shepherd, Dutty Berry and Leighton Smith.

Fabien's presence will complement this stellar line-up, but supporting the foundation is all he wants to do.

"Coming there, all that is on my mind is the support of the foundation," he said. "I am the single father of seven who I love with all my heart."

He revealed that he will be focusing on family-oriented jokes, but said he has to get to Jamaica before he decides what his set will be like.

"Generally, I will need to get there first and feel the vibe and the sense of occasion," he said. "I just want to support the foundation with all my heart."

Fabien along with his brother Nigel, who is also a comedian, were the comedians for Courts Furniture Stores in Trinidad and appeared together in many ads and promotions for the furniture chain. He has also appeared in more than 40 plays and has worked with most of the corporate bodies in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Best Care Foundation is mandated to nurture, educate and foster the welfare of physically and mentally challenged children, so that they may experience happy and fulfilled lives. However, the annual subvention from Government is insufficient to cover all their operational

expenses.

Tickets to the show cost $2,800 $3,000 at the gate. The Gleaner Company is among the many sponsors supporting the event.
