Recording artiste Denyque has expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with veteran producer Robert Livingston on his latest project, the Cold Hearts rhythm.

Livingston and his Big Yard label played an integral role in the hugely successful careers of international reggae-dancehall stars Super Cat and Shaggy, artistes who have sold millions of records worldwide.

The Cold Hearts rhythm that has been receiving positive reviews also features the vocals of General Degree, Tony Gold, DMajor, Richie Spice, Chris Martin and

several others.

Denyque's single, Don't You Know, is a love song about a person expressing deep love for someone.

"The song says, 'don't you know you are the one that I need', stressing that I don't need anybody else, it's all about you," she said. "I hope a lot of people can relate to this song."

positive reviews

The singer said the early reviews have been extremely positive and she is happy she was offered the chance to work with the iconic producer.

"When Robert reached out to me it was a given; who doesn't want to work with Robert Livingston I was honoured to be given such an opportunity," she said. "He said when he heard the song, he thought of me, so I sat with it and rewrote it a little and we just made magic. I love the song to death. I think it's a beautiful song. It is such a nice modern twist on reggae music and I think the Cold Hearts riddim is definitely something to look out for."

The sexy songbird, who recently released a reggae version of the Christmas classic Santa Baby, will perform on "a couple of shows" over the Yuletide season.
