Christopher 'Chris Lion' Mattis of Conquering Lion Records has produced a new rhythm EP titled the Tightrope, which features Garnet Jr the son of late reggae great Garnet Silk. Mattis' father was a close friend of Silk before his untimely death, and for the project the producer also joined forces with writers Devon Bradshaw and Ian Coleman.

Garnet Jr who song, All I Desire, told THE WEEKEND STAR that his single preaches about love.

"All I Desire is about the risks we take to prove our affection to the one we love as it can be much like walking a tight rope. Also for me, the Tightrope rhythm signifies the acceptance and acknowledgement that there should be a balance between genuine love and mere desire or lust. Balancing love and physical desire or lust, is desiring love," he said.

The EP also features international reggae artiste Capleton with a song called Paradise, Chezidek with an effort titled Seed Of Life, Lutan Fyah with Come Away and Fantan Mojah with Stay Far.

Chris Lion explained: "Tightrope was inspired by my journey towards music production. I also view the name as a situation where one must be very cautious while walking on life's path. So the name basically depicts life's journey where one has to balance both his actions and spirituality".

Conquering Lion records is the second generation of the Conquering Lion sound system, a sound which played a role in the development of Garnet Silk in his formative years.

"If our name sounds familiar to some people it's because my father was the owner of the famous Conquering Lion sound from back in the days. The sound was a vehicle of expression for a number of youth and among them was Garnet 'little bimbo' Silk. My father and Garnet became steadfast friends, and after his passing, my father decided to take leave of music in respect of his beloved friend. What better way to pay homage to both our fathers than to work together," Chris Lion told The WEEKENDSTAR.

The EP is available on iTunes. All I Desire will be available December 12, 2015 but is available on pre-order.
