Plugs pulled on Kingston 5 - Promoters to host free make-up event
After being cut short last Saturday, the promoters of Kingston 5 will be hosting an appreciation event tomorrow.
"The satisfaction of our patrons is and will always be our number one priority. We set out to deliver an awesome event, [but] circumstances beyond our control prevented that from happening. We, however, want to make it up to our patrons the best way we can," said Kareem Bigdreams, one of the promoters of the event.
"At this point, we think it's best to do something to show our patrons that we sincerely apologise and want to make it up to them. Hence, the make-up event with no cover charge attached."
The patron appreciation event will be held at St Lucia Car Park in New Kingston between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Billed as one of the most anticipated events leading into the summer, Kingston 5, the Uptown Street Dance, was set to meet and possibly surpass expectations last Saturday night.
Dubbed: 'Gyal Summer', the women were out in their numbers, the music was on point and there was liquor in abundance.
However, things took a wrong turn, and the event ended prematurely as the security pulled the plug on proceedings a little after 2 a.m.
