Candy plans to start clothing and sweetie lines

Encouraged by the response she has been getting when she says 'Can I get a Wow'?, internet sensation Candy Baddy now wants to be on the tongues and across the chest of fans in Jamaica and across the world.

The 28-year-old performer says she intends to develop a clothing brand as well as her own line of sweets.

"Me plan fi come out with some Wow tight suits, some Wow dress, some Wow T-shirts, Wow pants, Wow shorts and some sweetie with candy," the internet personality said.

Explaining the concept behind the sweets, Candy said they will be "Sweetie with candy bars that kids and adults can eat."

Asked who she would be targeting with her products, Candy said she plans to market them locally and overseas. She said the clothing line will carry the 'Can I get a Wow?' brand, and the sweets will be branded 'Sweetie Candy'.

"Apart from my clothing brand, I plan to capitalise on the success with anything Wow can do for me, everything Wow," she told THE WEEKEND STAR.

EARNED BOOKINGS

A former lady of the night, Candy captured the attention of thousands of fans and has earned bookings since a video of her dancing to incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel's six-month-old hit Come Home went viral in early July. Her trademark expression, 'Can I get a Wow?', has taken on a life of its own throughout sections of the country.

"From this mi get wul heep a love, support, and care from my fans and wul heep a bookings from all over. I give God thanks, with a Wow," Candy said.

Vybz Kartel's handlers reposted the break-out video earlier this week. It had the caption: "Call di ambulance WowWowWow ...", which has been one of Candy's catch phrases since her rise to fame.

"When mi see Kartel put me up, tears come a mi eye," said Candy, who insisted that "Mi nah stop dance to it 'til Kartel come right home".

Candy has also earned herself a post from the Queen of Dancehall, Spice. In the post made on the Cool It artiste's official Instagram page on Tuesday, Candy is seen dancing to Kartel and Spice's latest collaboration, Back Way, as part of the promotion for Spice's upcoming birthday bash.
