Reggae songbird Robertha is gearing up for the release of her latest single, The System.

The Heart Language-produced track is set to make its way into all major digital stores this month.

The reggae artiste is steadily creating an international fan base with her deeply meditative lyrics and outpour of emotions when she performs live.

The System is a follow-up from her last single, I Shall Not Be Moved. Both singles express her feelings towards the injustice that is plaguing Jamaica religiously, politically, socially and economically.

"My music is a refection of the real issues that we face each day. a lot of factors are affecting our youths and they don't even realise. The system is designed for the poor to stay poor and as a people, we have to realise these breaches in life and rise above the obstacles that are put in our way. This song sheds light on some of these issues," said Robertha.

A music video is set to be released shortly after the song makes it premiere.

"The video will capture every phrase in the song; it will show how everyday people live and their struggles. A lot of our children are born into poverty and struggles, and even when they try to get a way out, the system pushes them down. I am here to use my music as a tool to help break these barriers," she said.

Robertha will embark on a small promotional tour after summer to put strong promotional muscle behind her new tracks.

Before the year ends, Robertha will have a slew of new music which is expected to cross over into the international market.

"I have a few new songs in the pipeline, Prayer, Changes, Spanish Town and Reasons," she said.
