Fans were left disappointed as police ended last Saturday's edition of popular retro party Footloose promptly at 2 a.m. at Mas Camp, Stadium North.

This meant that featured artiste Bounty Killer, who was set to grace the stage at 2:30 a.m., did not get to perform.

This surprised many in the venue as even though the cut-off time for events on weekends is 2 a.m., the security forces usually use their discretion, allowing eventS to go longer.

Tyrone Dixon of Broadway Production, the promoters of Footloose, said: "We want to use this opportunity to apologise to the patrons for the abrupt ending of the event, but it was beyond our control. We know our patrons were really looking forward to see Bounty perform."

He added: "We made attempts to get even 30 minutes more to make Bounty Killer perform, but the peace officers didn't allow it. Footloose has always delivered, and we assure our patrons that we will continue to do so at coming events."

Meanwhile, disc jock ZJ Liquid was recognised for 10 years of service to the Footloose retro party event. Here are some highlights.
