Elihu pleased with latest album
Reggae artiste Elihu is pleased with the response to his 'Broken Silence' album.
"The response overall has been great in parts of Europe and Africa, with songs like 'Work Hard' and 'Treat Her Right' streaming the best on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Mi have to big up my producer, Andrew Bassey, for putting this project together," the artiste said. The album also features singles such as 'Turmoil', 'Blue Diamond', 'Tech Nine' and 'God of Israel'. He has previously released an album titled 'The Evolution of Courtney 'Elihu' Morris'.
Elihu was born in Kingston, hailing from a humble Christian family. At the age of 10, he discovered his passion for music and started singing at school concerts up to age 14. He then migrated to the United States, where he has lived ever since. As he grew older, Elihu's grandfather suggested that he change his name to 'Elihu' to reflect his move to tackle more pressing socio-political issues in his music.
"Music has always been my passion, and it goes both ways, because music has also pursued me. So through my journey, I always wanted my music and lyrical output to make a difference in people's lives and give them sustenance and hope," he said.
