Quill Dem is ready for success
Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Quill Dem is determined to become a major player in the trap-dancehall arena.
"I've been working on my craft and studying the music business since I was in high school, and now I am ready to step up and change the game. I'm coming with a fresh new style. I draw my inspiration from old school dancehall influences and trap-dancehall influences too. My style and my flow set me apart from other deejays. Everyone who's heard my music knows it's on another level," said the artiste.
The deejay made his recording debut in 2023 with a single titled Creed which was produced by 45 Skella Records and Wintek Generations. Since then, he has not looked back.
"Since then, I've been recording and releasing songs consistently to build my career. A lot of new artistes are focused on getting that one big hit. However, it's also important to build a good catalogue of music so that when the hit comes, you will have enough songs to perform on stage," he said.
Quill Dem is currently promoting his latest single, Bob Dem, which was produced by Bob Dem Records, 23 Records, PoohDan Records and 45 Skella Records.
"I'm pleased with the response that my new single is getting right now. It's doing well both locally and overseas. I'm grateful to all the DJs who are supporting my music," he said.
The budding entertainer is currently in the studio working on upcoming projects for several labels, including 45 Skella Records, 23 Records, PoohDan Records, Busta Records, PuttyDan Records and MMR Records.
Quill Dem, given name Aquila Dedrick, was born and raised in Ocho Rios, St Ann, and is a past student of the Ocho Rios High School.
