Paternity Puzzle: Lovers uncertain about baby's paternity
Two long-time lovers have found themselves in a predicament of not knowing the paternity of the woman's newborn baby girl.
Neil Brown, a 37-year-old chef, and Kayann Wilson, a 20-year-old student, have been in a relationship for the past five years. The two initially met when Kayann was attending a vocational school located close to Neil's house. He expressed his interest in her and their friendship blossomed into a relationship, leading to her moving into his house.
Kayann admitted that during the relationship, she made a foolish mistake by engaging in brief a sexual relationship with another man. Shortly after, she missed her period and soon discovered she was pregnant, but couldn't ascertain who impregnated her.
Neil and Kayann are still together, but the issue of the 4-month-old baby girl's real father remains a major source of contention.
