As of today, the Parliament is dissolved. This means that there are no Members of Parliament and no senators in Jamaica until after the February 25 General Elections when the 63 persons elected to the House of Representatives are sworn in.

Another 21 persons will be installed as senators.

Although there will be no more MPs with the Parliament dissolved, the slate of ministers will remain in place to conduct the nation's business. There will still be a prime minister.

Jamaica will not see Damion Crawford and Raymond Pryce in the House of Representatives, at least not for the next couple of years.

The House of Representatives is the place where all 63 elected persons sit. Pryce and Crawford will not face the voters in the upcoming elections and thus have no chance of sitting in the House after the election. However, they can be appointed to the Senate. Other persons that Jamaicans will definitely not see in the new Parliament are:

Michael Peart South Manchester. He is retiring after 22 years in Parliament.

Patrick Atkinson North Trelawny. He was not selected by the People's National Party (PNP) to contest the election. One-term MP.

Dr Ken Baugh West Central St Catherine. He is retiring. First served as MP North West St James ,1980 to 1989, then West Central St Catherine, 2002 to 2016
