Mason hospitalised after being shot
A 35-year-old mason of a Rhule Penn address in May Pen, Clarendon, is now in hospital battling for his life after he was robbed, shot, and left for dead by two masked men armed with guns on Wednesday night.
According to a report from the May Pen police, after retiring to bed, the injured man, Ralston Smart, was awakened by loud noises in his house. He went to investigate and was confronted by two armed men demanding money and electronic devices.
The cops noted that after robbing Smart of $3,500 and a black Huawei cell phone, the men opened fire, hitting Smart all over his body. The men then made their escape through an open bathroom window.
The incident was confirmed by an investigator from the May Pen CIB.
"After the shooting, the injured man was rushed to the May Pen Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was admitted in serious but stable condition," the cop said.
