‘Jack A Diamond’ shot dead along Maxfield Avenue
Alleged gang leader Nackeem ‘Jack A Diamond’ Mullings, 27, was shot and killed this morning along Maxfield Avenue in St Andrew.
It is reported that Mullings, who the police say was the leader of a faction of the Sunlight Street gang, was reportedly killed in a confrontation with the West Kingston police.
The incident occurred about 12:20 a.m. Friday.
The details surrounding the fatal shooting are still unclear, but some residents are refuting the security force's claim of a shootout.
They claim that Mullings was killed in cold blood.
“Party him a go and dem stop the car and him come out and say a me Jack a Diamond and dem shoot him… him all a ask dem Weh Unuh a shoot mi for!” a resident told The STAR.
The security forces are keeping a close watch on the space as protesters have gathered threatening to block the usual busy peak hour Maxfield Avenue corridor.
More information to come.
