March 07, 2024

Thirty-seven-year-old Oraine Cole, a farmer from Mitchell Town in Clarendon, was reportedly stabbed to death during a dispute with a woman on Monday.

It is reported that about 4:44 p.m., Cole, who is also commonly referred to as 'Butcher', and a woman were at his home when an argument developed.

During the quarrel, Cole allegedly used a piece of wood to hit the woman all over her body. The woman, who was armed with a knife, retaliated by allegedly stabbing Cole in his upper body.

A team of lawmen on patrol in the area was made aware of the situation, and Cole, who was discovered in a pool of blood on the ground, was assisted to the hospital.

He was pronounced dead on arrival, and the woman admitted under police guard.

Up to March 2, the parish of Clarendon had recorded 11 homicides.

Investigations into Cole's killing are ongoing.
