Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are now actively conducting mobile patrols across the island as part of the security response to Hurricane Beryl.

Head of the Strategic Operations Assistant Commissioner of Police Warren Clarke says highway patrols are also being undertaken and that quick response teams are on standby for deployment.

Clarke says attention is being given to key infrastructure such as state-owned oil refinery Petrojam, airports, hospitals, courts, prisons, and government offices.

He added that all JCF incident command centres have been activated and that the force is actively collaborating with key emergency response stakeholders.

Clarke is urging Jamaicans to comply with the ongoing islandwide curfew.
