US vet charged over ammunition found in his luggage at Sangster airport

An American veterinarian was on Thursday charged after several rounds of ammunition were found in his luggage at the Sangster International Airport.

Thirty-four-year-old Clint Martin, of Tennessee, is charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition.

The police report that during a security search anomalies were detected in a duffel bag with Martin's name on it.

The police were summoned and the bag was searched in the vet's presence. 

According to the police, a magazine containing twelve 9 millimetre rounds of ammunition was found in the bag.

He was then arrested and charged.

Martin is scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on Monday.
