Illegal gun seized on New Year’s Eve

A team of police from the Kingston Western Division seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Rose Lane, Kingston 14, on Tuesday.

Reports from the Denham Town police are that at 11:20 p.m., the team was on foot patrol in the area when they observed a man acting in a manner that aroused their suspicion. The team approached the man, searched him and found the firearm. The illegal weapon was identified as a Heckler and Koch 9mm pistol and was fitted with a magazine containing 14 9mm cartridges.

The team arrested the man in relation to the seizure. Investigations are ongoing
