Man charged with teen’s murder
The St Andrew South Criminal Investigations Branch has formally charged 38-year-old Imanie Niah Lydner, an unemployed resident of Crescent Road, Kingston 13, for the murder of 14-year-old Price Johnson, a student of Palm Grove, Spanish Town Road, Kingston 13.
Lydner has also been charged with housebreaking and wounding with intent. The wounding occurred following Lydner's attack on a male who attempted to come to the child's assistance. He was hit in his head by Lydner in his bid to escape. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on February 6, at Johnson's home. Following investigative efforts, Lydner was apprehended at his residence on Sunday, with assistance from his relatives after he had not been seen over the weekend. He was taken into custody, where formal charges were laid against him on Tuesday. His court date has not been finalised.
