Benti hits 30 points in big Herbert Morrison win

Defending champions Herbert Morrison Technical kept their excellent run of form going with a comprehensive 95-16 blow out win over St James High in the ISSA Western Conference High School Basketball Under-16 competition

yesterday.

They remain unbeaten after six matches, thanks to Shaqueal Benti, who bagged an impressive triple-double.

Point guard Benti scored a game-high 30 points and also had 10 assists, 10 steals and six rebounds in a completely superb display for Herbert Morrison.

Okieffe Noble was the game's next best scorer with 22 points, 12 steals, seven rebounds and three assists, while Davaughn Campbell chipped in 15 points and five assists for the winners.

St. James had only one player in double figures in Kevaughn Bradford, who scored 11 points and grabbed six steals for his team, in what was their worst defeat of the season.

It was Herbert Morrison's largest points total so far this season, topping the 51 they scored in defeating Cornwall College two weeks ago.

They are also undefeated after five games in the Under-19 category and look set to repeat as

champions.
