No complacency - Gould calls for focus from RSPL new boys
While owner of Mount Pleasant Football Academy, Peter Gould, is pleased with the progress his side has made in their first stint in the Red Stripe Premier League, he is also wary that the players might fall into complacency.
"I am pleased with what we have done from the start, but it could have been better," Gould told STAR Sports earlier this week. "We got some chances that we should have put away, even today (Sunday), so we could do better."
He said: "We have to ensure also that we don't become comfortable because, obviously, it is a long season."
Mount Pleasant are sitting in third place in the RSPL standing with 14 points.
The St Ann outfit caught the attention of the football fraternity after Gould spent heavily to acquire key players along with experienced coach Donovan Duckie ahead of their maiden top-flight season.
"We have to take our time and try to get to the play-offs first and then we take it from there," Gould said.
Gould also started the academy of his project this year and he told STAR Sports he is most proud about that.
"The school is the most important out of everything and it is going good," Gould said.
