JADCO invites stakeholders to attend annual symposium on Clean Sport - Symposium to address Jamaica’s role in shaping a global reputation for integrity in sport
KINGSTON, Jamaica:
The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) will host its annual symposium on Wednesday, January 29, at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in St Andrew.
Themed 'Clean Sport: Shaping Jamaica's Global Reputation', this important event aims to foster collaboration, educate participants, and engage in meaningful conversations about the ongoing fight against doping in sport.
This year's symposium will cover a broad range of relevant topics, including presentations from JADCO, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and expert medical professionals in the field.
With the evergrowing importance of integrity in sport, the symposium will focus on both the ethical and practical aspects of anti-doping policies and their impact on athletes, coaches and stakeholders worldwide.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, share knowledge, and contribute to discussions that are critical in strengthening Jamaica's commitment to maintaining a clean, fair, and safe sporting environment.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will include networking opportunities, thought-provoking sessions, and key insights into the evolving world of anti-doping.
"We believe this symposium will provide an invaluable platform for all involved in Jamaican sport to engage in the fight against doping and promote a legacy of clean competition," said June Spence Jarrett, executive director of JADCO.
"As a nation known for our sporting excellence, it is essential that we continue to lead by example and uphold the values of clean sport on the global stage."
The symposium is open to athletes, coaches, support personnel, and other key stakeholders in the sporting community. Participants are invited to select a team of five representatives from their organisations to attend the event.
