Sister saw me having an erection

Dear Pastor,

I am a 16-year-old boy and my sister and I share the same bed.

My sister complained to my mother that I was on the bed with her and she felt that I was hugging her; and when she jumped up and looked at me, I had an erection and I must learn to control myself. My mother told her that she would speak to me. When she spoke to me, I told my mother that I was not even aware that I had an erection, but that has been happening to me very often.

My father bought another bed and told me that I should sleep in the living room on it; that is what I have been doing. I would not try to have sex with my sister. My father had to tell my sister that it is normal for a boy my age to wake up and find himself having an erection.

Your sister complained to your mother that you have had an erection while you were sleeping on the same bed with her.

Your mother should have explained to your sister that it was normal for you to have an erection, and it was not because you wanted to be intimate with your sister. Some boys have experienced having an erection much earlier, and that is normal. Your father understood that you were not trying to be naughty, but he did the right thing by giving you your own bed.

Your sister will grow up to understand that you are a good brother and you had no intention of having sex with her, and having an erection did not mean you wanted to have sex with her. Don't hold anything against your sister because she complained to your mother about what she saw.
