Mandeville came alive recently as some of the biggest gospel acts, 'Manchesterians' and those from adjoining parishes rose to the occasion and helped to make the 'Arise and Praise' Gospel concert a huge success.

The show, held to raise funds for the expansion of the Elpicharis Reading School, got underway with the sweet sounds of the thrilling trio RSS who showed their versatility and musical variation.

JCDC gospel song competition winner, Ancient Priest was up next and he whipped the crowd in frenzy, giving them a taste of what was to come.

Each performer captivated the audience, enriching the minds and stirring the souls of the patrons.

"We want more, we want more" were the shouts that got even louder as attendees were being thoroughly entertained.

Acts such as the Manchester High School Choir, the Shahaye choir (from NCU) and Tiffany Hall laid the ground for singing sensation Sister Scully, the amazing sounds of Katalys Crew, Jabez, the controversial and lyrical Goddy Goddy and the headlining act Kevin Downswell who did not disappoint with hits after hits including Calling and If It's Not You.

Amidst the sounds of music resonating throughout the town were the sounds of God's children lifting up his name with spirit-filled thanksgiving.
