Dancehall artiste Agent Sasco is slated to deliver the keynote address to this year's recipients of the JN Foundation PEP scholarships. He will address the 37 scholars at a reception to be held in Kingston on Sunday.

The entertainer, who formerly went by the name Assassin, attended Camperdown High School, and furthered his education in business management at the University of Sunderland. Last year, he joined gospel singer Kevin Downswell as an ambassador for The Jamaica National Group.

Onyka Barrett Scott, general manager of the JN Foundation, pointed out that Agent Sasco's repertoire of encouraging and motivational lyrics positions him to address the students. The reception is being held under the theme 'Live in the Wow.'

"His substance not only comes through in his musical talents, but also his academic pursuits, as he is one of few local artistes who is tertiary-educated; and he is an ardent advocate for education and higher learning," Barrett Scott said.

Known widely throughout the industry for his lyricism and professionalism, Agent Sasco embarked on his musical career while in high school, and has frequently credited his emergence to veteran dancehall artiste Spragga Benz. Agent Sasco is highly respected for his conscious lyrics, which include: Winning Right Now, Stronger, and M ama Prayed.
