Dinho Da Rasta Man scoring with ‘Fallen For You’
Roots singer Dinho Da Rasta Man is generating a major buzz with his latest single, 'Fallen For You'.
"Mi do love music, mi do revolutionary music. I am a believer in crossover music; reggae, roots, ska, jazz, pop, hip hop and R&B have big influences in the songs I write. It's all feel-good, catchy, memorable music that anyone can listen to," he said.
'Fallen For You' is a joint project between World Universal Records and 1Fam Entertainment. Since its release, the song has been igniting FM radio, with the artiste's sharp, clear vocals and fresh sound impressing music critics and fans.
The Manchester-born artiste has been fine-tuning his sound while performing on the hotel circuit in the resort town of Montego Bay, St James.
"I am in Montego Bay now doing the Bob Marley tribute, where I do several Marley songs every week with three girls and a band. This has allowed me to become an even better singer," he said.
Over the past year, he has emerged as one of the brightest new voices in reggae music with his multifaceted, forthright lyrics -- drawn from Rastafarian philosophies and global observations - and unique ability to interact with diverse audiences.
Dinho Da Rasta Man is now working on an album which is centred around what he calls "grounded songs" and social commentary, with singles such as 'When Pigs Fly', 'Beautiful Day' and 'Revelations'.
" When Pigs Fly is expressing frustration with the mentality of a people and the presiding government over the years, simply hinting that change is only gonna come 'when pigs fly'," he reasoned.
