Sulfa Ge Records gearing up for more hits

March 26, 2025

Although he once aspired to become a recording artiste, Maxwell Whitehorn, more popularly known as Sulfa Ge, decided to take the route of a producer.

Within three years, his Sulfa Ge Records label has been responsible for a long list of hit songs by artistes such as Ai Milly, Tenn Point, RajahWild, and Eddy G Bomba. Now Sulfa Ge is ready to turn things up for the summer with his forthcoming project, the 'Talkatone' rhythm, a co-production between OjayDann Records. The project features songs by Squash, Zambie, ShaqBanx, Vakaant among others. Sulfa Ge is originally from Spanish Town, St Catherine, but he now resides in the US.

"I've been doing music professionally for three years and I've always liked the idea of being an artiste, but I don't really like the crowd. So one of my friends realised that, and he was the one who suggested that I should try producing music," said Sulfa Ge who made his production debut in 2022 with the 'Hacktive' rhythm. He said he brings a lot to the table as a producer.

"I would say I'm like the bridge between 'underground music' and dancehall. I showcase the hidden gems of the industry. That's what makes me different. The journey was an immense experience. I witnessed everything happening so fast, from my first releases climbing the music charts to my work echoing across the world is just simply amazing. Cyaa ask fi betta dan dat," said Sulfa Ge. A number of his productions have topped trending lists over the past few years.

"The high point for me was releasing songs like Like Bob by Skippa and Najeeriii which was listed on Billboard magazine's website as a 'Fresh Pick', and it also went to No. 1 on YouTube Trending for Music, Apple Music and Audiomack charts in Jamaica," Sulfa Ge disclosed.

He also produced songs such as Banga Pan Di Line by Tenn Point and Caano, Sinna Fi Real by RajahWild, Plan B by Eddy G Bomba, and Rage by Kraff.

Although he resides overseas, the former Calabar and St Catherine High schools student has a good relationship with persons who ensure that his projects are given ample promotion.

"Sometimes my friends or family members will monitor the video shoots and sometimes it's just the videographers overseeing what's taking place, to ensure everything goes smoothly," said Sulfa Ge.
