While best known as the hometown of the late international reggae superstar Peter Tosh, the beautiful rural district of Belmont, Westmoreland, could also be described as a treasure trove of appealing attractions and exotic stops.

While Tosh's mausoleum, which stands out in the front of the vast yard in which he grew up as a child is the village's premier attraction, Belmont's rustic old estates, sprawling fisherman village, villas, cottages, and lovely beaches are also quite appealing.

It is not unusual to see scores of tourists strolling around the community, usually after a visit to the mausoleum, which holds the remains of Tosh.

The friendly locals, who are quite versed in the rich history and culture of Belmont and who are able to tell beautiful stories about the community, are also part of the community's rural charm.
