A man, along with others, accused of stabbing and killing a man, was further remanded into custody when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's (RM) Court on Tuesday.
Charged with murder is 21-year-old chef Mario 'Lucky' Rose, of a Fourth Street, Kingston 12, address.
The Crown alleged that on September 20, at approximately 9 p.m., the now deceased complainant and his babymother were at a hotel located on Beechwood Avenue, Kingston 5. It is said that the complainant left the hotel room, which he occupied with his babymother and went outside, leaving her in the room.
It is said that she then heard a loud commotion outside and went to investigate when she saw a group of men inflicting several stabs wounds to the complainant.
She made an alarm and the man (now deceased) ran down the street where he later collapsed. The men, one of whom is believed to be Rose, escaped on foot.
Following investigation, the accused man was arrested and charged.
In court, Senior RM Judith Pusey ordered that Rose be further remanded into custody until today, pending an outstanding post-mortem report.
