Man ramanded for stealing phone
A man accused of stealing a cellular phone was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Charged with larceny from the person is Richard Nelson.
Allegations are that on March 28, Nelson reportedly stole a cellular phone from the complainant.
Nelson, who was brought in on an executed warrant, said that he failed to appear on his prescribed court date as he had mixed up the dates.
In court, Senior Resident Magistrate Pusey probed the matter.
"Where you live?" she asked. "Where do you hang out?"
"Duhaney Park, Half-Way Tree," Nelson replied.
"How many times you get in trouble already?," the sitting magistrate further probed.
"A you sentence me last time Miss Pusey," Nelson said, much to the delight of the court.
The sitting magistrate subsequently ordered Nelson remanded until December 9.
