Jcan man imprisoned in the US

A Jamaican national residing in New York in the United States, accused of smuggling ecstasy from Canada to sell in the country, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.

He is 37-year-old Carlos 'General' McKenzie, who also goes by the name Charles Williams.

According to reports, McKenzie was convicted in federal court last year on a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.

It is alleged that McKenzie conspired with others to obtain the tablets to sell them in Rochester in New York and other locales.
