Two escapees back behind bars
Two of six prisoners who escaped from the Montego Bay Police lock-up in St. James recently have been recaptured.
They are Randy Murray, 30, a labourer of Landillo, Phase 6, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland and 32-year-old Gregory Roberts, otherwise called 'Greg', a labourer of Maroon Town, St. James.
Murray , who was captured in Westmoreland by authorities yesterday was charged for the illegal possession of firearm, while James, who was captured in St James on December 12, was charged for robbery with aggravation.
The two men reportedly escaped from police custody on November 30. Both were captured in snap operations.
Another of the six, Benjamin Stephens, 20, of Dias, Lucea, St James who was charged for murder was fatally shot during a confrontation with the police in Spring Mount, St James about 12:30 p.m. on December 11.
One 9mm pistol and three 9mm rounds were also seized during the incident, which has been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
The men were discovered missing following routine cell checks made on November 30.
