In court, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey probed the matter.
"Why did he hit you?" Pusey asked the complainant.
The complainant explained that she has been at odds with Winkle ever since the birth of their son.
alleged attack
The court heard that the police, who happened to be on location at the time of the alleged attack, came in to quell the matter before the situation worsened.
"Me ask her where she a come from and she tear off me clothes," Winkle explained.
Winkle also told the court that the two have had a disagreement about the paternity of the child in question, stating: "A raffle she raffle".
This comment was met with much dismay by the sitting magistrate.
"Let's say that somebody goes and finds out that you publicly stated that your son was raffled, how would he feel!?" she asked the accused man.
Subsequently, Winkle was ordered to return to court on April 29, at which point he is expected to report if the matter has been resolved after attending mediation sessions.
